Polish National Filmmetings KAMERALNE LATO

KAMERALNE LATO is a project which is a combination of extensive film workshops for young people (theoretical lectures and practical training), discussion panels, open film screenings, film competitions and innovative forms of social education.

The aim of the project is to undertake preventive activities through film art directed at children, youth, educators and local organizations and institutions. The idea of ​​the project is to educate young people through contact with art. The task of the project is also to equalize opportunities in access to socio-cultural activities of young people from smaller centers, who want to develop their creativity while gaining skills and improving their qualifications.

As part of the event, three film contests are held:

To the Main Competition you can submit short feature films (up to 40 minutes) produced by professional filmmakers or students and graduates of art schools. Films selected as a result of the selection will compete for the Main Award - GOLDEN KURCHON.

The new festival section - Independent Films Competition - is intended for all filmmakers who create outside the main circulation of audiovisual production and distribution.

In turn, the goal of the HYDE PARK Film Competition is the promotion of amateur amateur filmmakers and the presentation of short films that do not fit into the standard species classification.

The program of the festival will also include, as every year, open film workshops for young people, outdoor shows, meetings with specialists in specific film fields, exhibitions and a children's section presenting the classics of Polish animation.

Film workshops of the KAMERALNE LATO is an opportunity to under the supervision of recognized creators and professional technicians of the film set go through the whole way of film creation - from the idea to the public, the gala premiere during the closing gala of the festival. Two groups of young adepts of film art, using professional equipment, will make short films and will have the opportunity to create a harmonious team.

The workshops will be attended by representatives of the film and television industry, who during the series of lectures and practical training will present the secrets of their film professions. In previous years, the lecturers of the workshops included Magdalena Łazarkiewicz, Radosław Piwowarski, Janusz Zaorski, Radosław Ładczuk, Andrzej Wolf, Eryk Lubos, Mateusz Damięcki, Wojciech Solarz, Lidia Popiel, Arkadiusz Jakubik, Antoni Królikowski, Barbara Białowąs, Rafael Lewandowski and others.

The participants of the workshops will first of all gain practical film knowledge in the field of directing basics, preparation of the script text, implementation of the film image, editing and post-production.

Workshops have been organized for years in cooperation with the Mazovian Voivodeship Police Headquarters, which provides organizational facilities and logistical support during the training. A great attraction is also the implementation of outdoor scenes with the participation of special units of the Police and professional stuntmen.
